Stewardship Award

The Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association, Ducks Unlimited Canada and RBC Royal Bank recognize excellence in environmental stewardship in the ranching industry. Innovative and successful approaches to environmentally and economically sustainable cattle production will honoured with this award.

The TESA award offers an opportunity to showcase this industry’s commitment to conservation and also for producers to share their knowledge and ideas. The deadline for nominations is August 31, 2010. Nominees will be honoured and the winners will be announced at the SSGA 98th Annual Meeting and Convention. Winners will be presented a custom-made farm gate sign depicting their accomplishment. Recipients of the Saskatchewan TESA award also qualify for the national TESA award, presented by the Canadian Cattlemen’s Association. This presentation is made during the CCA Semi-Annual Convention.

The Saskatchewan TESA was first presented in 1995. Below is a list of past recipients:

Rules for Nomination

The Saskatchewan TESA is open to all Saskatchewan producers whose primary source of income is cattle production.
-All applications must be typed and submitted on 8.5 x 11 paper.
-Colour photos, maps, etc. are encouraged. Please include a brief description of each item.
-Two independent letters of recommendation should accompant the nomination. One letter should be from an agricultural professional.
-Please complete the attached nomination form and submit along with your completed nomination package including a description of your operation.
