As only three percent of Canada’s population have direct ties to the family farm, many Canadians are unfamiliar with modern agriculture practices. Therefore, it has become increasingly important for the Saskatchewan Stock Growers Association to connect with consumers, to share with them the dedication and care Saskatchewan producers put into to their livestock.

For many years now, the SSGA has been working with industry partners ensuring information on beef production reaches school children, educators, and parents through our Agri-Ed program. Two venues where our Agri-Ed program has been very successful are Saskatoon’s Fall Fair and Regina’s Canadian Western Agribition. We have now  expanded the Agri-Ed program to include the Yorkton Harvest Showdown and the Prince Albert Fair.
